Oduduwa University has recorded another major academic milestone as the institution successfully secured full accreditation for ten academic programmes from the National Universities Commission following the October/November 2025 accreditation exercise.
The accreditation exercise, conducted by the NUC, carefully evaluated universities across key areas including curriculum quality, staffing strength, learning facilities, research output, and overall academic standards. Oduduwa University emerged successfully across multiple faculties, further strengthening its reputation as one of Nigeria’s fast-growing private universities committed to excellence in higher education.
Among the programmes that received full accreditation are Public Administration, Nursing Science, Mass Communication, Quantity Surveying, Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Microbiology, Economics, Political Science, and International Relations.
The accredited programmes span several faculties including the Faculty of Administration and Management Science, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Faculty of Communication Arts and Media Studies, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Science, and Faculty of Social Sciences.
Speaking on the achievement, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. C. I. N. Uche, described the successful accreditation as a reflection of the university’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and quality education. According to him, the accreditation confirms that the institution’s programmes remain relevant, competitive, and capable of producing graduates who can meet both national and international standards.
He further appreciated the university’s financiers and members of staff for their dedication, support, and contributions toward the success recorded during the accreditation exercise.
This latest achievement is expected to boost students’ confidence in the institution and further position Oduduwa University as a preferred destination for quality tertiary education in Nigeria.
