The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has officially announced an end-of-year break for all academic and administrative activities. According to a statement signed by the Acting Registrar, Sambo Mohammed, the break will commence on Wednesday, 17th December 2025, and end on Sunday, 4th January 2026.Normal university operations are set to resume on Monday, 5th January 2026.
However, staff on essential services— including those in the Safety Unit, Health Services, Works & Services, and other critical departments — are expected to remain at their duty posts throughout the break.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of the University Council, Senate, and Management, extended warm wishes to all students and staff for a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year in advance.
